Maui’s own Kalani Pe‘a nominated for 4th Grammy

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The 67th annual Grammy Awards is less than three months away and this year’s nominations were just announced Friday.
Maui’s own Kalani Pe’a was nominated for Best Regional Roots Music Album for his new album “Kuini.”
This is Pe‘a’s fourth nomination for the category, and he’s won the Grammy every time he’s been nominated.
Pe’a celebrated the win on social media, thanking the team of producers mixers and engineers who worked on the album.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé dominates with 11 nominations.
They include album of the year for “Cowboy Carter” and song and record of the year for “Texas Hold Em.” Her “Cowboy Carter” is also up for best country album.
With this year’s 11 nods, Beyoncé now has a total of 99 career nominations, making her the most nominated artist in the history of the Grammys.
She’s followed by Post Malone, Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX and Billie Eilish with seven nods each.
The winners will be revealed at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Feb. 2, 2025.
